Naritasan Omotesando NAGOMI-YONEYA

Naritasan Omotesando NAGOMI-YONEYA

Fudo's Oido Monaka

The mochi is shaped like the characters for "spring water to wash away the heart," symbolizing the Fudo Well.

This is the "Fudou O-Ido" well located on the grounds of NAGOMI-YONEYA Sohonten.

The bean paste, made from plump, carefully cooked red beans, is sandwiched between two mochi shells. The shells are stamped with the inscription "Yusui Senshin," which is inscribed on the "Fudo no O-Ido Well," a well associated with Fudo Myo-o. Enjoy the rich flavor of the bean paste and the crispy, fragrant mochi while thinking about the history of Narita.
