Product features

1. A new texture: Mochi x Sable "Moist and chewy"

The outside is moist, and the inside is chewy.
"Mochipeta" offers a new taste experience with its enjoyable combination of different textures.

The mochi uses soy sauce that Chiba Prefecture, which boasts the highest production volume in Japan, is proud of. When combined with the rich dough, it creates a flavor that is familiar to Japanese people and easily enjoyed by people of all ages.

2. The "Mochipeta" family, characters with a family theme

"Mochipeta," a heartwarming character inspired by mochi (rice cakes), is a family of four mochi fairies.
With a body that's as soft and stretchy as mochi (rice cake), I'm great at acting as a "connector" that brings people together!

3. Four types of individual packaging

The individual packaging comes in four different designs, each featuring a character delivering a message.
Additionally, one type includes a message field, allowing you to write a short message to the recipient.

  • We'll give you the power of mochi!

The packaging design is based on the white of the mochi rice cake, and evokes images of the blue sky, the sun, rice stalks, and soy sauce.

*The 5-pack of MochiPeta will contain four different designs at random (you cannot choose the design). Also, one box may not contain all designs.

4. A fun cosmetic box that sways back and forth.

The box containing the five items wobbles when placed upside down.

*This is an empty box.

Regarding the release of "Mochipeta"

"Mochipeta" was created as a casual everyday gift confection that can be easily used for small greetings, thank-yous, or souvenirs.

To bring joy to even more people, we have created a flavor that is widely popular among Japanese people.
By combining a chewy texture, the familiar flavor of soy sauce, and the rich, moist texture of the dough, we've created a flavor that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Furthermore, Nagomi no Komeya's confectionery making began when its founder, Chozo Morooka, sold "chestnut yokan" as a souvenir for pilgrims visiting Naritasan Temple.
When it was founded in 1899 (Meiji 32), it was a YONEYA that dealt in rice.
In April, the founding month of Nagomi no Komeya, which has these roots, a confectionary featuring "mochi" (rice cake) as the main ingredient will make its debut!

If you happen to see me, I'd be happy if you'd feel free to call me "Mochipeta."

The product name "Mochipeta" has meaning not only in words but also
Soft, rounded, and approachable
Lightness and cuteness
By combining these sounds, a gentle and cheerful name was created.
